CDR's 11th Annual Shoreline Walkathon!
Despite rain and wind, many friends and families participated in the Community Dining Room's (CDR's) 11th Annual Shoreline Walkathon on Saturday, April 26st on the Branford Town Green. With the support of many volunteers, sponsors and donors, this event included live music, crafts and raffle prizes. We heartily thank Eunice Lasala, our Grand Marshal and Chris Velardi from News Channel 8 for encouraging our walkers.
Thank you to Bishop's Orchards, all of our volunteers, and all of our friends who supported our Make Your Own Scarecrow fundraiser. We had another very successful year!

Please join the Branford Lions Club as we celebrate Oktoberfest at the Stony Creek Brewery on Sunday, October 4th from 3:00-6:00pm. Your paid ticket will allow you to enjoy beer, wine, German food, and entertainment in the private Celebration Room on the second floor of the brewery. Bocce, CornHole and Giant Jenga are outside to enjoy as well. For an additional donation, scheduled tours of the brewery will be available to anyone wishing an up close and personal experience of the process: from grain to brew to the consumer.
For this event, the Lions Club of Branford will give 50% of all the net proceeds to the Community Dining Room. The balance of the proceeds will go to the many other charities that the Branford Lions Club supports. Please spread the word and either purchase tickets in person from any Branford Lions Club Member (at $35 each), or logon to eventbrite and purchase tickets there (at $37.92 each).
