Mark you calendars for the annual Make Your Own Scarecrow at Bishop's Orchards. The family event and fundraiser takes place every Saturday and Sunday beginning September 27 thru October 26. Look for the Community Dining Room's scarecrow building tent outside the red barn at Bishop's Orchards Farm Market, 1355 Boston Post Road in Guilford, CT. Volunteers will collect a donation of $10 and supply all of the materials, from hay to hats, to stuff your scarecrow. All proceeds support nutritional programs for the CDR, located in Branford, a not-for-profit organization currently serving 3,500 meals per month to shoreline neighbors. |
