The Scarecrows are Coming!
Fall Family Fun to Benefit the CDR
Every Saturday, Sunday and Columbus Day in October, 10-5 each day, at Bishop’s Orchards Farm Market, 1355 Boston Post Road in Guilford, CT. Don’t miss this annual fall, family-favorite event that’s fun for all ages! We supply all of the materials you’ll need, from hay to hats, to stuff your scarecrow. You’ll also find glitter tattoos, face painting by Funderful Face Painting, and a free children’s snack with every scarecrow! All proceeds from scarecrows and glitter tattoos benefit the CDR.

Many of our CT neighbors are struggling with food insecurity. The CDR, its volunteers and many friends are doing what we can to help fill this void. Please help today with a monetary or food donation. We particularly need canned goods: fruit, soup, broth, stew, tuna, beans. Please consider doing a simple food drive in your neighborhood! Thank you! [ read more ]

Thank you to the Feinstein Foundation!
Thank you to our generous CDR donors in March and April--your contributions helped the CDR receive an award from the Feinstein Foundation in the amount of $362.53. This award was part of the annual Feinstein Challenge to Fight Hunger.
In addition to the CDR and the Branford Food Council, there is another great resource for our neighbors in need: the Connecticut Food Bank's Mobil Food Pantry comes to the New Life Apostolic Church at 26 Jefferson Road in Branford the first Friday of the month at 10am. All are welcome.
