The Community Dining Room is committed to serving the community by feeding the hungry and helping with other basic human needs. We strive to promote public awareness of the impact of hunger and isolation in our society. We are dedicated to helping our guests with their practical needs through referrals and fellowship.

The Community Dining Room serves the south-central Connecticut shoreline from East Haven to Old Saybrook including the towns of Branford, North Branford, East Haven, Guilford, and Madison.

The Community Dining Room serves:

LUNCH
Sunday-Friday: 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.
2nd & 4th Saturday, 12:00 - 1:00 p.m.

BREAKFAST
Saturdays: 9:00 - 10:00 a.m.

TUESDAY FAMILY DINNER
AND STORYTIME
(for families with children)
Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m.

COMMUNITY DINING ROOM OFFERS WEDNESDAY NIGHT TAKE OUT DINNER
Lost hours at work or been laid off? Feeling the difficulties of the economic downturn? Unable to come to our daily lunch. Order your family dinner to ease your budget. Call Melissa before noon on Mondays 488-0447 Wednesday pick-up from 4:00 to 5:30ish. Suggested donation $2.00.

  CDR gets a "LifeLine"
The Neighbor-to-Neighbor LifeLine program, a joint effort of the United Way of Greater New Haven and the Jewish Federation of Greater New Haven has awarded the CDR a $20,000 grant to help meet the increasing need for emergency food through improved dining room and home delivery programs, food storage, preparation equipment and dining room facilities. This support will provide assistance to many families and individuals impacted by the economic downturn, living in our shoreline community.
